The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka, tells the traditional literature from the wolf's point of view. The book is clever and humorous and will have children draw connections from both version. The wolf claims that he was trying to make a birthday cake for his dear old granny. All he needed was to borrow a cup of sugar, so he went to his neighbors for help. However, he had a terrible cold so everytime he went up to the houses he accidentaly sneezed, knocking the house down. By mistake, the pigs were killed when their house fell on them. The wolf didn't want to leave a meal just sitting there (just as humans would not leave a cheeseburger), so he ate the pigs because it was the right thing to do. This happened to the first and second pigs because their houses were made of straw and sticks. The wolf still needed sugar so he went to the third house, made of bricks. The wolf asked for sugar and the pig replied "your granny can sit on a pin". This angered the wolf so he tried to knock down the house. When the cops had shown up, they only caught him breaking in. The wolf felt that he was framed because no one heard his side of the story.
